• History of UK Student Poker Championship!  

 The UKSPC is the first-ever and most prestigious national student poker tournament.

It was founded in 2005 by the University of St Andrews Poker Society, and the Championship 2005 attracted first-ever field of over 250 players in Europe.

The buy has always been set at £30, generating a prizepool of almost £10,000.

In addition to £1,000, the winner receives a flights, hotel and a $10,000 Buyin to the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, courtesy of the sponsor, Betfred Poker.

Having taken place in St Andrews for its first 3 years, the UKSPC moved to the Birmingham Broadway Casino in 2008
